Encounters

During this first edition of Postapocalyptic Encounters, five online encounters will take place from October to December 2022, through the Zoom Meeting platform. These public events count with the participation of artists, authors and activists whose interests, practices and strategies are crossed by non-anthropocentric perspectives, decolonial aesthetics, Amerindian Indigenous Philosophies, and non-Eurocentric science fiction imagination. 

To join us, just go to the event page and click on the link. The first part of every online encounter is a dialogue between the invited guests, moderated by the initiators and curators of Postapocalyptic Encounters, choreographers Bianca Mendonca (BR/DE) and Korina Kordova (BR/SE).

The second part is open to everyone attending, so the discussion can be expanded; you are welcome to contribute by asking questions, sharing thoughts and references. Finally, at the end of the event, or even a few days later, we encourage you to send materials that resonate with the encounter. You may send us a short text, a photo, a drawing. We would like to include some of the participants’ contributions in the documentation of the project on our website.
